Suresnes, 16 June 2026 — For millions of organisations, email and collaboration are still two separate worlds. Whaller brings them together today with the launch of Whaller Mail, a sovereign email service hosted in France, natively integrated into its platform.
Your emails join your collaborative platform
Whaller, the French sovereign collaborative platform, announces the launch of Whaller Mail, a sovereign email service natively integrated into its platform, available for businesses, public administrations, associations, and educational institutions — integrated into the environment where their collaboration already takes place: spheres, instant messaging, documents, drive, video conferencing, tasks, and electronic signature.
Whaller Mail offers two main components. On one side, an email account management interface allowing the organisation to create, edit, and delete email accounts for all its members, with hosting in France via OVHcloud. On the other, a complete inbox for users: multiple email accounts accessible in one place, conversation view, favourites, search, automatic reply, and Whaller (IA)ssistant.
A complete email client designed for teamwork

Whaller Mail includes all the features expected of a modern professional email client, designed to work in harmony with the platform’s collaborative tools.
-
Managed email accounts: the organisation’s administrator creates, deletes, and manages email accounts, hosted in France, directly from Whaller: alias assignment, functional addresses, password management, and account provisioning and deprovisioning. Users access their inbox in Whaller without any technical configuration on their part.
-
Inboxes in Whaller: each user accesses their emails directly in Whaller: multiple email accounts accessible in one place, conversation view, content search, favourites, configurable automatic reply per mailbox, and a personalised email signature per account.
Managed mailboxes are hosted in France via OVHcloud, with no advertising or commercial use of data, and no dependency on services subject to extraterritorial legislation. This managed offering guarantees total sovereignty over your email.
Whaller (IA)ssistant integrated into your inbox
Whaller Mail connects natively to Whaller (IA)ssistant. From the inbox, users can ask the assistant to generate a reply to a received message, or to correct spelling and syntax errors in an email being drafted, without switching tools, without copying and pasting into a third-party application. This integration extends the core logic of Whaller Mail: reducing context-switching and keeping all work, including writing assistance, within a single, organisation-controlled environment.
The answer to a decade of digital fragmentation
The evidence is consistent: employees use an average of nine to twelve different digital tools over the course of a working day. Email, often the primary driver of this fragmentation, is a major source of interruptions and lost context — not to mention the risks posed by sensitive information circulating across environments with varying levels of trust.
Whaller had already helped reduce email overload by up to 40% by centralising internal communications within spheres. Whaller Mail takes the next step: by bringing email and collaboration together within the same sovereign environment, the platform finally delivers the unified digital workplace that organisations have been waiting for, without compromise on data control.
“For over ten years, we have been building a platform where organisations truly own their data. With Whaller Mail, we go one step further: we offer email accounts hosted in France, managed by the organisation itself, within the environment they already use. That is what concrete sovereignty looks like.”
— Thomas Fauré, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Whaller
Sovereignty and data control
Managed Whaller Mail mailboxes are hosted in France, with no advertising or commercial use of data and no dependency on services subject to extraterritorial legislation. Organisations that choose this option benefit from complete sovereignty over their entire email chain.
Whaller Mail also allows existing email accounts to be connected, centralising them within Whaller. In this case, the level of data protection depends on the infrastructure used by the organisation.

Whaller Mail is available today as an option from the Business plan.
